SB198 Summary

• Adds Section 17-3-8.1 to the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding boards of registrars and annual working days.

• Allows a quorum of county boards of registrars to reallocate unused working days from one registrar due to absence to another registrar on the same board, subject to the annual maximum authorized under Section 17-3-8.

• Requires written consent and approval from the county commission for each pay period in which a registrar requests to use another registrar's working days.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
