Prohibits wake surfing on public waters between sunset and sunrise, on bodies of water less than 50 acres, on motorboats with propulsion systems extending beyond the boarding platform, in portions of water less than 400 feet wide, within 200 feet of shorelines/docks/piers/boathouses, and without a Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device.

First violation results in a Class B misdemeanor with a minimum fine of $150; second or subsequent violations in a calendar year result in a Class A misdemeanor with a minimum fine of $250, plus potential revocation or suspension of boating certification or vessel operating privileges.

For one year following the effective date, first violations receive a written warning; second or subsequent violations are Class B misdemeanors with a minimum $150 fine.

Exempts regatta, race, trail run, parade, tournament, or exhibition events on state waters for which a written marine event application has been approved by the Marine Police Division of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
