Proposes an amendment to the Alabama Constitution to allow the Legislature to make initial appointments of judges to newly created judgeships using the same procedure as filling judicial vacancies.

Amends Section 152 of the Alabama Constitution to add an exception to the requirement that all judges be elected by voters within their territorial jurisdiction.

The amendment becomes effective upon approval by a majority of qualified electors voting in a statewide election conducted in accordance with Sections 284 and 285 of the Alabama Constitution.

Election officials must assign a ballot number and display the amendment's description on ballots with "Yes" and "No" voting options.
