Commends Mayor Brian Baine of Fort Payne, Alabama for receiving the 2021 Small Town American Civic Volunteer Award from CivicPlus.

Award recognizes the nation's top 100 public service and public safety volunteers from towns and counties with populations under 25,000.

Mayor Baine was selected as the only winner from North Alabama, chosen from 700 nominations across 49 states.

Fort Payne receives free access to a volunteer web portal as part of the award; Mayor Baine has served as Fort Payne's mayor since 2020 and previously served one term as City Council President.

Legislature commends Mayor Baine for his dedication to volunteerism, his contributions to Fort Payne and Alabama, and his courageous vision and community activism.
