Proposes a constitutional amendment to authorize the state, counties, and municipalities to grant federal award funds or other state-designated broadband funding to public or private entities for providing or expanding broadband infrastructure.

Requires that any grants of funds by a county or municipality to a private entity must be approved at a public meeting held by the appropriate county or municipality.

Amendment will be voted on at the 2022 primary election and becomes effective upon approval by a majority of qualified electors voting on the measure.

Code Commissioner shall number and place the amendment appropriately in the Alabama Constitution of 2022 and may correct capitalization, spelling, punctuation, grammatical, clerical, and typographical errors upon publication.

Election officials must assign a ballot number and display a specific description of the amendment on ballots with "Yes" and "No" voting options.
