Proposes a constitutional amendment to Section 58-8.00 of the Alabama Constitution of 2022 relating to Shelby County retirement benefits for officials.

Prohibits elected or appointed Shelby County officials and sheriffs from assuming supernumerary office after the amendment's effective date, but allows those currently entitled to supernumerary programs to continue participating.

Allows all elected or appointed Shelby County officials to participate in the Employees' Retirement System of Alabama on the same terms as other county employees and permits purchasing of service credit for current service.

Excludes judges, county commissioners, district attorneys, legislators, constables, school board members, and officials elected from judicial circuits from the definition of "elected or appointed Shelby County official," except Shelby County Commissioners holding office at time of ratification are eligible to purchase service credit.

Requires a public election on the proposed amendment in accordance with Alabama Constitution Sections 284 and 284.01 and state election laws.
