Amends Section 14-1-24 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to change Department of Corrections reporting frequency from quarterly to monthly to the Joint Legislative Prison Oversight Committee.

Requires monthly reports containing: inmate population statistics, correctional officer staffing data, inmate program participation by sex, litigation involving the department, sexual abuse and victimization incidents, inmate deaths with autopsy results, and recovered contraband (cell phones, weapons, controlled substances).

Specifies that each report must include the date, facility, nature of incident, and number of inmates, correctional staff, or contractors involved for sexual abuse, death, and contraband incidents.

Prohibits disclosure of sensitive security information, open criminal investigative files, attorney-client privileged materials, work product doctrine information, sealed court filings, and information otherwise protected from disclosure by law.

Requires reports to be posted publicly on the department's website within 10 days of delivery to the oversight committee, with digital notice sent to all legislature members; effective the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
