Allows retired law enforcement officers with Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training certification to work as school resource officers or correctional officers without losing retirement benefits, provided annual compensation does not exceed $52,000.

Permits retired correctional officers who retired under paragraph c of Section 36-27-16(a)(1) to work as Department of Corrections officers without suspension of retirement allowance, subject to the same $52,000 annual compensation cap.

Requires retirees to provide written notice to the Employees' Retirement System and employing authority within 30 days of beginning full-time or permanent work or when earnings exceed the annual limit.

Sunsets the school resource officer and correctional officer employment provision on December 31, 2026.

Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
