Amends Section 45-22-100.07 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to authorize the Town of Garden City to sell a portion of the former Garden City school property without requiring a referendum.

Allows the Town of Garden City governing body to accept title to the former Garden City school property owned by the Cullman County Board of Education and hold it for public benefit, including receiving state and local funding and charitable donations for its operation and preservation.

Permits the governing body to sell 7.2 acres of the property (Lots 2 and 4, Blocks 23, 24, and 25 and Lots 1 and 2, Block 26 of Garden City subdivision, PIN 30626, Parcel No. 25-02-09-0-051-005.000) by majority vote without a referendum, provided the school building itself is not included in the sale.

All other sales or transfers of the property continue to require approval by majority vote of the governing body and majority approval by referendum of qualified electors in the town.

Became effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor on May 24, 2023.
