Amends Section 45-38-101 of the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding compensation for Lamar County's county superintendent of education.

Maintains the annual salary cap at no more than 25 percent in excess of the highest salary paid to any other county school system employee, to be fixed by the county board of education and paid in equal monthly installments.

Replaces the previous reimbursement structure of $.20 per mile for out-of-county and out-of-state travel with the same per diem and mileage rates provided to state employees.

Superintendent must furnish their own automobile and continues to receive reimbursement for actual expenses incurred in performance of official duties.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
