More than 100,000 Americans and 1,200 Alabamians are currently on the national transplant waiting list, with another person added every nine minutes and an average of 17 people dying daily while waiting for organs.

One organ, eye, and tissue donor can save and heal the lives of more than 75 people.

Encourages Alabama residents to register as donors at legacyofhope.org or their local department of motor vehicles.
