Congratulates Karmin Scott, a Vina High School senior, for winning the Class 1A Girls Javelin State Championship at the 2023 Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 1A-3A Outdoor State Track and Field Championships in Cullman, Alabama.

Karmin achieved a javelin throw of 126.4 feet for first place, triple jump of 32-10.25 feet for second place, long jump of 15-05.75 feet for second place, and discus throw of 90-05 feet for fourth place.

Named the 1A-3A Girls Most Valuable Player with 31 total points earned across all events, the highest among all female competitors in the two-day championship.

Acknowledges the expert guidance and leadership provided by Track and Field Coach Richie Hester.

House passed the resolution on May 11, 2023, and the Senate adopted it on May 17, 2023.
