Commends Coach Carvel William Rowell, Jr. for his induction into the Thomasville High School Sports Hall of Fame.

Recognizes Coach Rowell's playing career at University of West Alabama (1962-1966), where he ranked third nationally in football total offense in 1966 and was inducted into the university's Athletics Hall of Fame in 1993.

Highlights his coaching achievements including a State Championship in football at Excel High School in 1969 and a State Championship in baseball at Thomasville High School in 1972, with the 1972 baseball team posting a 17-6 record.

Acknowledges the 1970 Thomasville High School football team known as the "Sensational 17," which won eight of ten games during the 1970-1971 season under Coach Rowell's leadership.
