The United States and U.S. Paralympics Cycling will host the first Para-Cycling World Cup at Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, Alabama from May 26-29, 2023, with Huntsville previously hosting the U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open in 2021 and 2022.

Approximately 350 athletes from more than 40 countries are expected to attend, competing to qualify for the 2023 UCI World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland in August and the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris.

Athletes will compete in individual time trials, individual road races, and team relay road races using two-wheeled cycles, handcycles, two-person tandem cycles, and tricycles.

Event organizers will deploy more than 500 volunteers to ensure the Memorial Day weekend event is safe, inclusive, and provides a positive experience for all participants.

The Alabama Legislature welcomes the athletes, coaches, team support, and families to Alabama and extends commendations to Huntsville and U.S. Paralympics Cycling for hosting the first international Para-Cycling World Cup event ever held in the United States.
