The United States and U.S. Paralympics Cycling will host the first Para-Cycling World Cup at Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, Alabama, from May 26-29, 2023, with Huntsville having previously hosted the U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open in 2021 and 2022.

Approximately 350 athletes from more than 40 countries are expected to attend, with competitors aiming to qualify for the 2023 UCI World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland and the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris.

Athletes will compete in individual time trials, individual road races, and team relay road races using different cycle types including two-wheeled cycles, handcycles, two-person tandem cycles, and tricycles.

Event organizers will utilize more than 500 volunteers to ensure the Memorial Day weekend event is safe, inclusive, and positive for all participants.

The House extends a warm welcome to athletes, coaches, team support, and families, and commends the City of Huntsville and U.S. Paralympics Cycling for hosting the first international Para-Cycling World Cup event ever held in the United States.
