Honors nine Alabama teams from eight schools that competed in the 2023 American Rocketry Challenge National Finals held May 20, 2023 in Virginia, with 100 teams representing 27 states participating.

Recognizes four Alabama teams that placed in the top 25: Tharptown High School (2nd place), St. John Paul II Catholic High School Team 2 (3rd place), Hackleburg High School (16th place), and Lawrence County High School (23rd place).

Acknowledges Tharptown High School earning $15,000 for students and $1,000 for the school, with named student captains and sponsors Marsha Inmon and Arianna Orozco.

Acknowledges St. John Paul II Catholic High School earning $12,500 for students and $1,000 for the school, returning to nationals for the first time since 2018 with named student captains and sponsors Brian Finzel and Duane Meyer.

Commends all participating students, teachers, administrators, and parents for their accomplishments in designing, building, and testing rockets to meet rigorous competition parameters.
