Commends Coach Michael Ray Robertson on his induction into the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Robertson graduated as valedictorian from Hokes Bluff High School in 1977 and earned All-County honors in three sports, including playing quarterback on state champion teams and playing on three state champion baseball teams.

Holds degrees from Athens State University (mathematics, 1981), The University of Alabama (master's degree), and Lincoln Memorial University (education degree).

Began his teaching and coaching career in 1981 as an assistant coach at Southside-Gadsden and has coached at Hokes Bluff High School since 1984, earning numerous Coach of the Year honors in three major sports.

Robertson is one of 13 persons selected for induction into the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame's Class of 2023, with the induction ceremony held in Montgomery in March 2023.
