• Reconstitutes the Alabama Alzheimer's Disease Task Force to update the 2015 State Plan for Alzheimer's Disease and Other Related Dementias by developing recommendations for workforce preparation, public awareness, and family caregiver support.

• Task force membership comprises 20 positions including legislative members, state agency directors, representatives from medical and nursing facilities, advocacy organizations, law enforcement, researchers, and individuals with dementia and caregivers.

• Governor must call the first meeting within 130 days; members elect a chair and vice chair; legislative members receive compensation and travel expenses while non-legislative members serve without compensation.

• Task force must submit an interim report to the Legislature by the third day of the 2024 Regular Session and a final updated State Plan by the third day of the 2025 Regular Session, at which time the task force terminates.
