Commends Deputy Jacob Boening for his nomination for the 2023 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On May 27, 2022, Deputy Boening responded with Deputies Kel Roberts and Jerry Bingman to a possible explosion at a Decatur residence where a trailer was on fire with someone trapped inside.

The three deputies entered the burning trailer, located the occupant, and assisted in removing them from the residence; they also partially extinguished the fire with a water hose while waiting for the fire department.

The occupant survived the fire with only minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by emergency medical services.

The House of Representatives dedicates this resolution to Deputy Boening in recognition of his quick response, steadfast bravery, and heroism in saving human life.
