Recognizes Deputy Chris Poole as a recipient of the 2023 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement for his bravery and service.

Commends Deputy Poole for initiating a vehicle pursuit on June 29, 2022, involving a stolen car driven by a 26-year-old felon with 46 criminal charges, during which speeds exceeded 100 miles per hour.

Deputy Poole was shot during the pursuit and urged fellow Deputy Brad Johnson to back off due to continuing gunfire; both deputies were injured and transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where Deputy Johnson was pronounced dead on June 30, 2022.

References the Deputy Brad Johnson Act, enacted as a result of Deputy Poole's actions to honor his fallen colleague and promote truth in sentencing to prevent early inmate releases.

Directs the House to present a copy of this resolution to Deputy Poole as recognition of the state's gratitude for his service.
