Acknowledges and congratulates Ovetta Hobson for her service as the 25th President of the Huntsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, during 2019-2021 and 2021-2023.

Recognizes her leadership in implementing a succession plan for developing future leaders and establishing partnerships with Girls, Incorporated; Meals on Wheels; Rise Against Hunger; CASA, Incorporated; and Women's Economic Development Council.

Credits her with organizing community initiatives including a school supply drive recognized as the largest donation in over 20 years, raising over $20,000 for Meals on Wheels in December 2021, and establishing two new scholarships that surpassed fundraising goals by raising over $100,000 in 2021.

Highlights her role in leading efforts to demand removal of the confederate statue from the courthouse lawn and organizing the Labor for Black Lives Rally on the chapter's Day of Solidarity.

Notes her technological innovation in developing interactive virtual programs and her advocacy work with Commissioner Violet Edwards of District Six to educate the community and combat vaccine hesitancy during the pandemic.
