Highlights his high school coaching achievements, including a State Football Championship at Excel High School in 1969 and a State Baseball Championship at Thomasville High School in 1972 with a record of 17-6.

Notes that Coach Rowell coached Thomasville High School's 1970 football team known as the "Sensational 17," which won eight of ten games during the 1970-1971 season.
