Sparkman High School Varsity Girls Soccer Team won the 2023 Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 7A State Soccer Championship, their first state title in their first-ever trip to the state finals tournament.

The team defeated Auburn High School 2-1 in the championship game, with MVP Jayda Davis scoring both goals for Sparkman.

The 19-member team roster includes Audrey Edwards, Kaylee Southern, Imani Hamilton, Jayda Davis, Casey Davis, Sofia Sasan, Amiyah Baker, Chelsea Moore, Abigail Heymeyer, Mariana Chavez, Keira Sattizahn, Reagan Bellmon, Kaitlyn Langjhar, Sarah Baca, Allison Barribeau, Lauren Thomas, Amber Smith, Chelsey Curtis, and Lily Denny, under Head Coach Sam Tidmore.

The House of Representatives formally congratulates the team and dedicates this resolution to the team members and coach with admiration and best wishes for continued success.
