Congratulates the Appalachian High School Baseball Team for winning the 2023 Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 1A State Baseball Championship.

Team compiled a 31-4 record and won the championship with a come-from-behind victory, scoring eight runs in the seventh inning.

The Eagles won game one 18-3 and game two 11-10 in walk-off fashion, marking the largest come-from-behind win in Alabama High School Athletic Association Championship history.

This was the Eagles' first State Championship in school history and the first Baseball State Championship in Blount County history.
