AL SB223

Amends Section 15-25-39 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to expand definitions under the Child Physical and Sexual Abuse Victim Protection Act.

Expands protections to include both victims and witnesses who are children under 12 years of age or protected persons.

Defines qualifying offenses to include sex offenses, violent offenses, aggravated child abuse, assault in any degree, domestic violence, elder abuse, protection order violations, and attempts to commit these offenses.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
