• Prohibits state agencies, local school boards, and public higher education institutions from promoting, endorsing, or requiring affirmation of nine defined "divisive concepts" related to race, sex, ethnicity, religion, and national origin.

• Bans these entities from requiring students, employees, or contractors to attend trainings advocating for divisive concepts, share personal viewpoints on such concepts, or participate in lobbying activities related to them.

• Prohibits conditioning class or training enrollment on race or color, and prevents penalizing individuals who refuse to support or assent to divisive concepts.

• Authorizes discipline or termination of employees or contractors who knowingly violate the act, subject to applicable institutional policies and appeal procedures.

• Includes exceptions allowing objective teaching and discussion of divisive concepts in academic coursework, demographic data collection, historically accurate instruction, and state diversity and inclusion efforts consistent with the act.
