AL SB333

Extends the corporate limits of the City of Orange Beach in Baldwin County to include three tracts of land containing parcels in Coyote Flats (Tract 1), the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24 (Tract 2), and property near County Road #95 (Tract 3).

Exempts the annexed territory from referendum election requirements under Section 2-11.40 of the Alabama Constitution of 2022 because the land is owned and used by the city for public municipal purposes only and contains no residents or municipal electors.

Subjects all annexed territory to the laws and ordinances of Orange Beach, with the City Council exercising exclusive jurisdiction over the annexed area identical to jurisdiction over existing city territory.

Requires a map of the proposed annexation to be filed in the Office of the Judge of Probate in Baldwin County and made available for public inspection per Section 11-42-6 of the Code of Alabama 1975.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
