Honors his public service including 7 years as Mayor, 12 years on the Planning Commission, and 12 years on Town Council.

Acknowledges his role in securing ADECA funds for sewer system improvements, Economic Development Grant for Love's Travel Stops, Community Development Block Grant for Jack McCaig Park renovations, and attracting Dollar General to the area.

Notes his approximately 50 years of civic service with the Lions Club and his family: wife Sylvia Stephenson Walker (61 years married), two daughters, and two grandchildren.
