Commends the Birmingham Association of REALTORS® for executing the largest Fair Housing Celebration in Alabama on the 55th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act signing on April 11, 2023.

Notes that the Birmingham Association of REALTORS® represents over 5,000 members and serves Blount, Clay, Chilton, Jefferson, Randolph, and Shelby Counties.

Acknowledges the organization secured proclamations from all six county commissions (Blount, Clay, Chilton, Jefferson, Randolph, and Shelby) declaring April as Fair Housing Month.

Recognizes that the association received proclamations from 49 individual municipalities as part of their campaign to have 55 governmental units declare April as Fair Housing Month.

Recognizes the Birmingham Association of REALTORS® as a leading voice supporting fair and attainable housing and the principle that no person should be denied housing based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
