The Department of Transportation is encouraged to designate the portion of Highway 82 between State Highway 51 and the corporate limits of Union Springs in Bullock County as the Chief Master Sergeant Joe Harold Adams Memorial Highway.

Chief Master Sergeant Joe Harold Adams served in the 187th Fighter Wing of the Alabama Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves for 42 years and 11 months, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant.

Adams dedicated his life to farming and agricultural service, including 58 years with the Bullock County Farmers Federation, 28 years on the Auburn University Horticulture Department Advisory Commission, and service to multiple agricultural organizations.

Appropriate officials are urged to place and maintain signs or markers designating the memorial highway.

The resolution passed the Alabama Senate on May 23, 2023, and the House of Representatives on May 25, 2023.
