Commends Colonel Robert Allen King for his dedicated service to the United States Air Force, introduced by Representative Treadaway on March 14, 2023.

Colonel King serves as Commander of the 117th Air Refueling Wing at Sumpter Smith Joint National Guard Base in Birmingham, Alabama, leading over 1,000 military professionals.

Colonel King began his Air Force career in 1985 as an Honor Graduate from Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base and was promoted to Colonel on June 2, 2016.

Colonel King has accumulated more than 4,800 flight hours, extensive NATO experience directing tanker and airlift aircraft, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Colonel King has received numerous military decorations including Meritorious Service Medals, Air Medals, Combat Readiness Medals, Campaign Medals, and NATO Medal, and the resolution expresses best wishes for his retirement.
