Honors Mrs. Josephine "Jo" Walker Walton on her 100th birthday on August 22, 2023.

Recognizes her educational achievements including graduation as valedictorian from Ballard High School and earning an Associate of Arts Degree from Talladega College in 1944.

Acknowledges her 30 years of service at the VA Medical Center in Tuskegee as a Contract Specialist and six years teaching in the Macon County School System.

Celebrates her extensive leadership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the Episcopal Church, Church Women United (first Black woman elected as national 2nd Vice President in Alabama), and community organizations.

Dedicates the resolution to Mrs. Walton with admiration and regard for her remarkable life and positive influence on all who know her.
