Officially proclaims September 17, 2023, as Hank Williams Day in the State of Alabama in recognition of the centenary of his birth.

Honors Hank Williams' musical legacy, including his first national hit "Move It On Over" in 1947 and subsequent classics such as "Your Cheatin' Heart," "Jambalaya," and "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry."

Notes that Williams scored 41 songs on the Billboard charts and was among the first songwriters to have songs crossover from country to pop music charts.

Recognizes Williams as one of only 14 artists and executives in history to be inducted in both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Encourages all Alabama citizens to reflect upon Hank Williams' continuing and lasting impact on popular music across the nation and around the globe.
