Amends Alabama Code Section 17-16-2 to expand the definition of reimbursable election expenses that the state must reimburse to counties.

Adds new reimbursable expense categories including costs for electronic poll books (equipment, software updates, maintenance, population prior to elections) and electronic voting machines (transport, equipment, software updates, maintenance, storage in non-governmental facilities).

Includes polling place rental payments as a reimbursable election expense.

Requires counties to submit reimbursement requests to the Comptroller within 90 days following the election date.

Effective for all primary and general elections beginning with the November 5, 2024 election, with the act itself becoming effective October 1, 2024.
