Each Blount County Commission member, excluding the chair, shall receive an annual salary of 80 percent of the Chair's salary, effective after the November 2024 election.

Commission members' salary is total compensation and replaces all prior salary and expense allowances previously provided by law.

Commission members continue to receive retirement and health insurance benefits as currently provided.

Effective October 1, 2025, commission members receive same cost-of-living or uniform increases granted to county employees, with total compensation capped at 80 percent of the chair's salary.

Repeals Section 45-5-70 of the Code of Alabama 1975 and multiple prior acts providing compensation to Blount County commissioners, including Acts 469 (1976), 622 (1978), and 80-231 (1980).
