Each county's governing body must designate and provide at least one early voting center where registered voters can vote during the week immediately preceding election day.

Early voting centers shall be open not less than four days nor more than six days during the one-week period immediately preceding election day, with hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.

County governing bodies with multiple early voting centers have sole authority to configure boundaries for each center and determine which days each center operates.

Any registered voter may vote at the appropriate early voting center located in their county without requiring an excuse.

The act becomes effective on October 1, 2024, and does not impair the powers and duties of boards of registrars, judges of probate, or other election officials, nor does it affect election day voting procedures.
