Amends Alabama Code Section 16-13B-2 to exempt the installation of goods on property owned by local boards of education from competitive bidding requirements.

Adds installation exemptions to two existing exceptions: purchases/leases/lease-purchases through governmental cooperative purchasing programs (Section 13) and purchases from vendors with general services administration contracts (Section 15).

Installation services remain exempt only for goods other than voice or data wireless communication services.

Contracts entered into in violation of this chapter remain void, and violations constitute a Class C felony.

Effective date: October 1, 2024.
