Prohibits governmental entities (including the state, counties, municipalities, their instrumentalities, and public K-12 schools and charter schools) from implementing, ordering, or imposing face mask mandates to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or any variant of COVID-19.

Prohibits the State Health Officer from implementing, ordering, or imposing face mask mandates to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or any variant of COVID-19.

Exempts facilities providing medical or dental services from the mask mandate prohibition, allowing such facilities to impose mask requirements.

Exempts state and local detention centers from the mask mandate prohibition, allowing such facilities to impose mask requirements.

Act becomes effective October 1, 2024.
