Amends Section 1-3-8 of the Alabama Code to require the State of Alabama to observe all days designated as holidays by the federal government as of January 1, 2023.

Specifies that the Governor may designate additional public and legal holidays, with a requirement to include at least one commemorative date for the third Monday in January, fourth Monday in April, or first Monday in June.

Requires the Governor to close all state offices a minimum of 13 days but not more than 13 days per year in observance of public and legal holidays.

Provides that if any holiday falls on Sunday, the following day is the holiday; if on Saturday, the preceding day is the holiday.

Takes effect January 1, 2025, and includes technical revisions to update existing code language while removing duplicative provisions.
