Amends Section 13A-11-61 of the Alabama Code to update language regarding the crime of discharging a firearm, explosive, or other dangerous weapon into occupied or unoccupied structures and vehicles.

Shooting or discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, building, railroad locomotive, railroad car, aircraft, automobile, truck, or watercraft is classified as a Class B felony.

Shooting or discharging a firearm into an unoccupied dwelling, building, railroad locomotive, railroad car, aircraft, automobile, truck, or watercraft is classified as a Class C felony.

Makes nonsubstantive technical revisions to update existing code language to current style standards.

Becomes effective on October 1, 2024.
