Amends Section 17-13-47 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to prohibit political parties from disqualifying individuals from running for office based solely on receipt of campaign contributions from a particular person or political action committee.

Preserves existing authority of political parties to set other qualifications and assessments for candidates, including assessment caps of two percent of one year's salary for most offices, $50 for unremunerative or party county offices, and $150 for statewide unremunerative or party offices.

Applies the contribution-based disqualification prohibition to nominations to all offices through primary elections.

Becomes effective on June 1, 2024.
