HB2 Summary

• Dallas County Board of Education members shall receive $1,000 per month in compensation upon passage of a majority resolution by the board, replacing any other compensation, salary, or expense allowance provided by law.

• Compensation shall be paid from the same source and in the same manner as current Dallas County Board of Education compensation and expense allowances.

• Compensation becomes effective on the first of the month following board passage of the resolution.

• Act becomes effective June 1, 2024.
