Authorizes all sheriffs to contract with private, public, or governmental entities for service of process, excluding warrant arrests.

Requires every county to collect a $50 service of process fee per document in district and circuit courts, unless otherwise provided by local law.

Distributes collected fees with $3 to circuit clerk's fund, $3 to district attorney, and remainder to sheriff for sheriff office operations.

Allows sheriffs to use collected fees for any lawful purpose related to sheriff office operations, and fees do not revert to county general fund at fiscal year end.

Permits sheriffs with existing local service of process fees to opt into this bill's fee structure in lieu of local law provisions.

Becomes effective October 1, 2024.
