Provides the Coroner of Talladega County with an additional expense allowance of $8,000 per year, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, effective the first month after the act becomes effective.

Establishes an annual salary of $20,000 per year for the Coroner beginning upon expiration of the incumbent Coroner's term, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, at which time the $8,000 expense allowance becomes void.

Makes the $20,000 annual salary the total compensation for the Coroner in lieu of any other compensation, salary, or expense allowance otherwise provided by law.

Repeals Act 2001-491 and compensation provisions from Act 2097 of 1971 effective upon expiration of the current Coroner's term.

The act becomes effective June 1, 2024.
