AL HB319

Authorizes the Sheriff of Tallapoosa County to charge and collect reasonable fees for administrative services including fingerprinting, criminal history investigations and reports, and copies of requested records.

Exempts services requested by law enforcement agencies for law enforcement purposes and pistol permit applicants from all fees.

Requires the sheriff to remit collected fees periodically to the Tallapoosa County Commission for deposit in the county general fund.

Becomes effective June 1, 2024.
