Amends Acts 1978, No. 117 to establish a six-year term for the Calhoun County license commissioner, beginning with the 1980 election with terms commencing in January 1981 and every six years thereafter.

Sets the license commissioner's annual salary at $22,500, payable from the county treasury in the same manner as other county officers' salaries, effective January 1981.

Effective July 1, 2024, adds a temporary expense allowance equal to 12.5 percent of the commissioner's June 1, 2024 salary, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

Beginning with the next term of office after July 1, 2024, replaces the temporary expense allowance with a permanent annual salary increase to 112.5 percent of the June 1, 2024 salary amount.

Becomes effective June 1, 2024.
