Extends the assessment on emergency medical transport providers through the fiscal quarter starting July 1, 2025 (previously scheduled to end July 1, 2024)

Maintains the 5.3 percent assessment rate on projected total gross receipts for emergency medical transport providers, with collected assessments not exceeding half a percent less than the federal maximum

Requires emergency medical transport providers to file quarterly statements showing total transports, gross receipts, and other information as required by the department

Requires the Alabama Medicaid Agency to pay quarterly emergency medical transport enhancements to providers based on Medicaid-reimbursed transports multiplied by an established transport enhancement rate

Bill becomes effective June 1, 2024; assessment terminates if federal financial participation is unavailable or the state fails to meet required state funding obligations
