Amends Section 16-52-3 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to modify the Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees composition by increasing at-large membership from one to two members residing within the state and one to two members who may reside either within or outside the state.

Board of Trustees continues to consist of two members from the congressional district where the institution is located, one member from each other congressional district in the state, and the Governor serving as ex officio president.

Trustees are appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Senate for six-year terms and cannot serve more than three full terms total.

Maintains existing provisions that trustees receive only actual expenses for duties, may continue serving if they reach age 75 during their term, and can be designated Trustee Emeritus upon reaching age 70 if they have departed the board.

Act became effective immediately upon passage; House passed 16-Apr-24 and Senate passed 30-Apr-24.
