• Excludes academic achievement scores of students transferring from nonpublic schools from school and district A-F grading calculations for the first three years of enrollment, beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.

• Students transferring from nonpublic schools continue to have their educational progress measured in the academic growth category during the three-year exclusion period.

• Starting in the fourth year of enrollment, transfer students' academic achievement is included in school and district A-F grades.

• Maintains existing five-year exclusion for English language learners who have not demonstrated proficiency on state-approved English proficiency assessments.

• Becomes effective October 1, 2024.
