• Adds Alabama Department of Public Health's regional agencies of the Office of Emergency Medical Services to the list of eligible educational institutions that can participate in the Volunteer Rescue Squad Tuition Reimbursement Program.

• Expands the program to allow active volunteers in ambulance services, volunteer rescue squads, and volunteer fire departments to receive tuition reimbursement for emergency medical services certification courses offered through designated EMS regional agencies.

• Redefines "eligible educational institution" to include designated EMS regional agencies alongside existing institutions (Alabama Community College System, Alabama Fire College, and University of South Alabama).

• Requires all eligible educational institutions to jointly develop and administer the tuition reimbursement program in consultation with industry associations.

• Becomes effective October 1, 2024.
